So, it's not surprising that the Teacher's House is a great getaway retreat (although the walls of the original schoolhouse are right in front of you).
This is a great house, but the greatest feature of all is its front porch, which is just outside the soothing comfort of the teacher's bedroom.
This porch offers an everchanging view that outshines any television or computer screen.
There is a second sleeping area that includes a nice sitting area.
The second "bedoom" is also sort of a living area that connects to the kitchen.
The kitchen includes stove, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.
Sit back, relax, and ponder the stories suggested by the surrounding ruins.
The Teacher's bathroom is a one-of-a-kind, hand-made example of the stone-worker's art.
Study the kaleidoscopic cloudscapes from the restful shade of the porch.
Imagine the good times and the heartbreak of the long gone town.
Or, just pour yourself another stiff drink and blot out the problems of the past and present.
The Terlingua Mansion is Owned and Operated by the Bill Ivey family.
Each Room has NO Cable Television OR Telephone. Enjoy the break.
Free wireless internet is usually available.
Breakfast is not provided, but all rooms have coffeemakers and our special blend of coffee.
