About the Role
The Company is a distinguished humanitarian organization with a strong focus on the long-term commitment to individuals affected by violence, conflict, and instability. In light of the increasing global need and the challenging landscape of humanitarian funding, the organization is seeking a new Trustee to join its Board. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of the company's fundraising, particularly in the philanthropic sector, to ensure a sustainable and diversified funding base that can effectively address the growing demands of the global community. The ideal Trustee will have access to emerging markets, including the Gulf states, and will be expected to demonstrate the ability to identify and leverage opportunities in these regions. While prior experience in philanthropic giving or charity Board service is not mandatory, a willingness to learn, work collaboratively with the Board, Executive, and relevant staff, and a shared ambition for the company's mission are essential. The role is open to candidates both in and outside the UK, and the focus is on finding a dedicated individual who can contribute to the organization's strategic and forward-looking approach in the face of rising global needs and a complex operating environment.
