Requirements Must have: I require a candidate with over 3 years of experience in Shopify development, including Liquid, JSON, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A solid comprehension of Shopify architecture, metafields, dynamic sections, and theme structure is necessary. I expect familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and conversion event setup. An understanding of SEO best practices, CRO principles, and performance optimization is essential. Experience with Shopify Plus, Hydrogen, or headless Shopify would be advantageous. Proficiency in design/versioning tools like Figma or Git is preferred. An eye for design, attention to detail, and consistency with brand guidelines are critical. Excellent communication and documentation abilities are a must. Bonus points for having experience with AI tools, ChatGPT prompt integration, or custom API applications for Shopify. Responsibilities: I will need you to manage and continually enhance all Shopify stores, including themes, apps, Liquid/JSON templates, and content structure. You will develop and implement custom sections, templates, and dynamic modules utilizing Liquid, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. You will maintain GA4, Google Ads, and Meta Pixel event tracking; diagnosing and resolving any tracking or attribution issues will also be your task. I expect you to implement CRO and UX improvements by running experiments, analyzing user behavior, and boosting the conversion rate. You will work alongside the creative team to refresh hero banners, collection pages, and interactive modules (e.g., wavelength selectors, comparison charts). You should ensure SEO integrity through proper schema markup, clean code, internal linking, and correct tag hierarchy. Site speed, image compression, and Liquid logic optimization for performance will be part of your responsibilities. Managing app integrations such as Consentmo, Okendo, Re:do, Gorgias, Klaviyo, and custom API feeds will also fall under your role. I expect you to maintain version control and backup workflows for any changes to the Shopify theme. You will collaborate with marketing on creating landing pages, running A/B tests, and executing content pushes, including product launches and campaigns. Troubleshooting and resolving bugs, layout shifts, and rendering problems across different browsers and devices will be part of your duties.
