Job Summary As a Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and delivering communications that inform, engage, and connect Medline employees across functions. Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, this role supports business and functional leaders by translating priorities into clear, compelling communications that align employees and support Medline’s culture and business goals. The ideal candidate brings strong content development skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams with creativity, flexibility, and impact.Job Description Responsibilities Support Communication Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies that support business priorities, change initiatives, and employee engagement efforts. Create Clear, Engaging Messaging: Draft and edit content for a range of internal audiences and channels — including leadership updates, organizational announcements, internal campaigns, and enterprise-wide initiatives. Assist with Campaigns: Help plan and execute communication and change management campaigns that support business priorities, ensuring clarity and alignment across the employee experience. Provide Communication Support to Stakeholders: Partner with project teams to recommend communication approaches that improve clarity and employee understanding. Manage Content Across Channels: Draft and maintain content for intranet sites, newsletters, internal emails, digital signage, and video platforms to support consistent employee communication. Coordinate Event Communications: Assist with messaging, executive talking points, and presentation support for high-visibility internal events such as leadership forums, department summits, and town halls. Support Communication Tools and Templates: Contribute to the development of templates, messaging frameworks, and best practices that improve consistency and efficiency in communications. Measure and Improve Communications: Gather feedback and track metrics to assess communication effectiveness and recommend improvements. Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in communications, preferably in a corporate or cross-functional environment. Experience creating content across multiple formats (email, web, presentations, video scripts, signage, etc.). Experience supporting internal or external communication efforts or employee engagement programs is a plus. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills. Ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible messaging. Strong project management and organizational skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively across functions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and SharePoint; familiarity with content management systems or creative tools is a plus. Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. The anticipated salary range for this position: $68,640.00 - $99,320.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
