Location: Good Samaritan Hospital, 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220

Work Hours: 

  • Part-time, 48 hours bi-weekly
  • Day shift
  • Weekend and Holiday rotation

Position Overview

This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis. This position operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments, utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties, maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures, and works under the supervision of a general supervisor, but works independently. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related field or MLT education with equivalent clinical experience acceptable for MT certification
  • ASCP certification required
  • Completion of MT clinical training
  • 1–2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
