Job Summary Job Summary: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for ensuring daily maintenance of the plant is completed. Responsible for routine and daily housekeeping duties to ensure a clean plant and yard. Perform general laboring duties such as raking and shoveling material. Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling, and cleaning). Communicate timely and effectively with plant supervisor regarding any issues pertaining to the plant, yard or equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Maintain good attendance and safety record and set an example for others to follow. Communicate effectively to co-workers, management, suppliers, and others you encounter. Must have a valid drivers license and willing to travel to various plant locations as needed. Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (daytime/nighttime). Shifts may vary according to project/schedule demands. Must have a "Safety First" attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required. Experience around ready-mix plants, asphalt plants and/or rock crushers and heavy equipment. Basic knowledge of plant operation, conveyor systems and maintenance preferred. Must have good mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Able to operate small hand tools.
