Job Description

A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide essential support to K-12 students in a charter school setting. This contract position is scheduled for the upcoming school year and requires availability two days per week. The role offers the chance to work closely with a diverse student population, utilizing specialized skills to improve communication abilities and support academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students in person and via teletherapy as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to monitor student progress.
  • Document and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in meetings and consultations to support student learning and development.
  • Support student transitions and modifications to optimize communication skills throughout the school year.

Qualifications:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school and healthcare settings.
  • Familiarity and competence in teletherapy service delivery.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulations and procedures relevant to K-12 educational environments.
  • Experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is considered an asset.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
