Payroll Administrator (Contract - 8 Months, Hybrid)

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid Schedule)
Compensation: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour , depending on experience

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to support our client's payroll operations on an 8-month contract . This hybrid role is ideal for a payroll professional who is highly organized, deadline-driven, and experienced in processing payroll accurately while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
  • Review and audit timesheets, payroll registers, and payroll reports for accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Maintain payroll records, employee deductions, garnishments, and benefit withholdings
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Coordinate payroll changes related to new hires, terminations, bonuses, and pay adjustments
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including taxes and audits as needed
  • Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee data and payroll postings
  • Support month-end close activities related to payroll and labor reporting
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with payroll reports
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Work Schedule:
  • Hybrid schedule with a mix of remote and in-office work in Seattle
