Payroll Administrator (Contract - 8 Months, Hybrid)
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid Schedule)
Compensation: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour , depending on experience
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Payroll Administrator to support our client's payroll operations on an
8-month contract . This hybrid role is ideal for a payroll professional who is highly organized, deadline-driven, and experienced in processing payroll accurately while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities: - Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Review and audit timesheets, payroll registers, and payroll reports for accuracy
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Maintain payroll records, employee deductions, garnishments, and benefit withholdings
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Coordinate payroll changes related to new hires, terminations, bonuses, and pay adjustments
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including taxes and audits as needed
- Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee data and payroll postings
- Support month-end close activities related to payroll and labor reporting
Qualifications: - 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
- Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with payroll reports
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Work Schedule: - Hybrid schedule with a mix of remote and in-office work in Seattle
