Type: Temporary Engagement

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Controller to step into a key leadership role for a temporary engagement with our client in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving process efficiencies during this critical period.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain general ledger integrity , reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Lead budgeting , forecasting , and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support
• Partner with senior leadership on cash flow management and strategic initiatives
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed
• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices in accounting operations

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Controller, Interim Controller, or senior accounting leader
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• CPA preferred, but not required
