HR Coordinator/Recruiter

Located onsite in our Elmwood, LA (New Orleans) office

Birdon is seeking a dynamic and results-driven  HR Coordinator/Recruiter with a strong focus on  exempt level recruiting to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process while also supporting the HR function including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR administration. This is an onsite position!

Some of the main duties include:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for professional roles across multiple departments.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Post job openings, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate candidate assessments.
  • Maintain and optimize the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through proactive sourcing.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, networking events, and recruitment campaigns.
  • Track and report on key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of HR experience with a strong emphasis on recruiting.
    • Experience with exempt level hiring in a fast-paced environment.
    • Solid understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
    • Proficiency with HRIS and ATS platforms (preferably ADP Workforce Now).
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
