Responsibilities Administers care to patient population which ranges from neonates to geriatrics. Works cooperatively and interdependently with emergency, prehospital, law enforcement, and ancillary personnel while coordinating the emergent and critical care of patients requiring helicopter transportation. Markets the Air 1 program and serves as a representative of the department as well as the UT Health East Texas System when involved with a public relations activity and/or marketing activity. Understands and supports the UT Health East Texas Mission, Vision, And Values. Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures. Qualifications Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required Certificate from an accredited EMT/Paramedic program. Texas EMT-P certification National Registry EMT-P (NREMT-P) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) Certified Flight Paramedic Credential (FP-C) within 6 months of employment. If the Crew member is an RN working in the Paramedic role the CFRN will take the place of the required Certification. PALS NRP ACLS At least three years prehospital experience in a lead paramedic role Preferred Job Requirements: Previous flight paramedic experience
