JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees all aspects of the Casino Security Department through effective departmental
leadership, and develops and implements policies and procedures to protect property and the
integrity of the operation. The primary responsibility is to ensure enforcement of all applicable
Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas (KTTT) laws, Kickapoo Tribal Codes, Gaming
Regulations, and the safety of all the guests and Team Members of Kickapoo Lucky Eagle
Casino and Hotel.


Essential Functions
1. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal, other laws, Gaming
Regulations, and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel (KLECH) policies and
procedures.
2. Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided, and listens and responds
to guest and Team Member concerns and questions.
3. Responsible for protection of Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel gaming assets.
4. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Security Department.
5. Ensures the operation of a 24-hour, 7 day a week Security Operation to provide timely
response to routine and emergency situations.
6. Participates in the reporting and directing of safety issues.
7. Conducts internal or external investigations.
8. Ensures all Team Members are complying with Kickapoo Gaming Commission (KGC)
Gaming Regulations, KTTT Gaming Ordinance, Minimum Internal Control Standards
(MICS), policies, and procedures.
9. Develops and/or administers operational policies and procedures consistent with the Standard
Operation Procedures Manual, and applicable MICS.
10. Provides security guidance at all levels in both routine and non-routine situations, exercise
discretion, and independent judgment.
11. Approves and reviews departmental reports.
12. Prepares and develops budget recommendations.
13. Manage and supervise department Team Members, including hiring, training, developing,
and separating employment.
14. Directs and leads Team Members to meet management directives.
15. Assists in developing and administering training programs for the Security Department Team
Members, and develops and administers applicable training programs for all Team Members.

16. Reviews all incident reports, and provides statistical data to KGC and Casino management.
17. Takes required enforcement action for violations of Tribal, State, and Federal laws. If
warranted, may call Tribal Police and local authorities for assistance.
18. Investigates vehicle accidents or guest service concerns in regard to complaints.
19. Assures that company vehicles use is scheduled according to policy, and that vehicles are
available and ready for use prior to issuing keys.
20. Maintains and develops strong community relations with law enforcement agencies as
necessary.
21. Assists in the training and development of Tribal Member Team Members following the
tribal member preference policies.
22. Attends, and satisfactorily completes, all required training as assigned and required.
23. Manages and maintains security of confidential information entrusted to position.

necessary by the General Manager.

Minimum Requirements to Qualifications:
1) Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, or a related field.
2) Five (5) years' experience in a managerial or higher position; director position preferred.
3) Five (5) years' experience in security; law enforcement preferred.
4) A combination of education and experience may be substituted.
5) Demonstrated experience in training.
6) First aid and CPR Certifications; must have or obtained within ninety (90) days of
employment.
7) Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred.
8) Native American Gaming experience, preferred.


Other Criteria:
Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native American
preference is observed.

service skills in a casino environment.
2. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, local laws, and Gaming Regulations.

5. Excellent guest service skills, and the ability to handle guest concerns diplomatically.

vendors, guests, and Team Members.

9. Ability to use office equipment with strong skills in Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands:

1. While performing the duties of this position, the Team Member is regularly required to
stand, sit, walk, bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen on
a regular basis.
2. The Team Member must be able to concentrate for prolonged periods.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, and depth perception.
4. The Team Member must be able to communicate effectively in person or using
telecommunications equipment.
5. The Team Member must have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate a
keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone, and calculator.
6. Lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.

Work Environment
The work environments described here are representative of those that must be met and are
encountered by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
1) Ability to work for extended periods in a temperature controlled office under artificial
fluorescent lighting with varying noise levels.
2) Frequent walking and standing.
3) May be exposed to cigarette smoke while on the casino floor.
4) While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently exposed to outside
weather conditions such as heat, humidity, cold, snow, wind, and rain.
5) Normally a five (5) day work week, but may work extended hours, irregular shifts, nights,
weekends, and holidays.

6) The Team Member must be able to perform under pressure and work long hours under
stressful conditions.
7) The Team Member may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues
with difficult guests and Team Members.
8) Travel may be required to perform one or more essential functions of this position.


Conditions of Employment:
1) Must be able to obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission Gaming License, including
successful completion of a background check necessary to obtain and maintain a KTTT
Gaming License. Responsible to keep all documents current and valid at all times.
2) Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.
3) Must be at least 21 years of age.
4) Must have access to reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
5) Must comply with KLECH Handbook, internal policy and procedures, and Gaming
Regulations set within KLECH.
