Custodian
Madison Heights, MI- Onsite
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3pm-11pm
Compensation: $17/hour
What this job involves:
As a Custodian at JLL, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and order in our facilities. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment for employees, clients, and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Cleaning and sanitizing offices, common areas, restrooms, and other spaces
• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
• Emptying trash bins and recycling containers
• Dusting furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Restocking supplies in restrooms and break areas
• Performing basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs
• Reporting any damages, repairs needed, or safety hazards to the facility manager
• Assisting with setup and teardown for meetings or events as needed
Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
Preferred:
• Experience with green cleaning practices
• Basic computer skills for communication and record-keeping
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations
