The role involves commercial lease abstracting, CAM and Real Estate Tax billing, and tenant correspondence. Responsibilities Managing and assisting an accounting department Overseeing accounts payable and receivable for 66+ residential and commercial properties Abstracting commercial leases and managing CAM and Real Estate Tax billing Maintaining RPIE – Store Front Registries Tenant correspondence, monthly calendars, and employee reviews Using property management software: Yardi, MRI, MDS, or BJ Murray Accounts Receivable Review Month End Reports Bill utilities to tenants (if not transferred) Update tenant information in computer system Coordinate with accountants Abstract & enter leases for new acquisitions Implement NYC Rent Regulations Provide backup for deposits when necessary Prepare rent bills and monthly closing Reconciling security deposits Online rent portal reconciliation and bank issue resolution Process late charges and make monthly adjustments Accounts Payable Manage outstanding checks and place stop payments Process corporate tax payments Assist in transfer of contracts & utilities Run weekly and monthly check runs Coordinate with accountants Seniority level Not applicable Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Referrals increase your chances of interviewing by 2x.
