Job Overview

This is pest control technician opportunity (Route Manager) We offer all qualified applicants company-sponsored Texas Department of Agriculture approved training to become licensed in “Structural Pest Control” if you have no previous experience. Previous pest control technician experience is preferred but not required. The training program will cover essential duties of the job including: safety, equipment (operation, calibration, inspection & maintenance), chemical mixing & handling, basic entomology, laws & regulations, emergency procedures and more. Upon completion of the training program, you will join our team as a technician apprentice. At the end of 6 months you may qualify to obtain your Commercial Technician license and after 1 year complete the requirements to become a Certified Applicator. Each level of licensing increases your value to the firm and may raise your level of compensation.

This is an opportunity to work in an unsupervised environment where you identify the client needs/problems and sell the solution. Compensation is based upon a percentage of revenue that you generate and service. Monthly production incentives are offered from time to time.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine scheduled pest control service for residential & commercial clients
• Complete all service documentation as required by the Texas Dept of Agriculture
• Maintain current accounts receivable as directed by management
• Perform additional duties as determined by business needs

Skill & Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Superior customer service skills
• Professional appearance & work ethic
• Demonstrated dependability and attendance
• Ability to read, speak clearly & understand detailed written & verbal instructions
• Ability to write a legible service order using proper grammar & spelling (English)
• Ability to work in outdoor environment w/temp ranges from hot (99F+) to cold (20F)
• Candidates must complete a Drug Test, a Criminal Background Check & have a valid Texas Drivers License
• Perform basic math skills: percentages, area, circumference & volume – apply concepts of basic algebra & geometry
• Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, crawl, reach with hands & arms & occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
