Overview Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Usability/Human Factor Engineer II to join our team. The role focuses on solving user experience challenges within a highly complex application used by a wide range of users. The engineer will work with a software development team to develop and sustain integrated, feature-rich capabilities that modernize visualization and presentation tools. The team provides application development and support to tools that allow mission-analytic users to view existing data or contribute new information in a collaborative environment. The Usability/Human Factors Engineer II collaborates with developers, managers, and system engineers to keep the product modern and cutting edge. The role involves researching and documenting user workflows, designing and creating mockups, engaging with users, and coordinating with development teams using tools such as Axure and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Responsibilities Research and document user workflows, analyze user scenarios, and create user interface designs from specifications provided. Design and develop mockups and prototypes, and engage with users to gather feedback. Collaborate with developers, product designers, and process engineers to advance usability across the software product. Direct and conduct usability testing; develop and administer user surveys to obtain feedback. Translate user needs and workflows into actionable design requirements throughout the usability and software engineering life cycle (analysis, design, implementation, deployment). Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in cognitive and/or experimental psychology, human factors engineering, or an engineering-related field (e.g., systems engineering, software engineering, business process engineering). Advanced degree preferred. At least ten (10) years of experience in this or a related field, with familiarity in task analysis, user interface design, and usability testing. At least five (5) years of user-experience design and testing experience. Experience directing and conducting usability testing and working closely with product designers and process engineers. Experience designing and developing user surveys to obtain user feedback. Proven ability to work with users (analysts) to research and document user profiles, analysis tasks, workflows, and user scenarios to inform UI design. Professional certifications such as Certified Human Factors Engineering Professional or Certified Usability Analyst, or equivalent, are desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr Reflexive Concepts
