Position Overview We’re looking for a dynamic, guest-focused Tasting Room Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee the daily operations of our estate tasting room. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, inspires others through example, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. In this role, you’ll guide and develop a team of dedicated hosts, ensure seamless service throughout the day, and maintain a warm, inclusive atmosphere that reflects the Adair Family Wines experience. You’ll also manage daily operational tasks such as opening and closing the property, ensuring guest safety, and maintaining a polished, guest‑ready space. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Guest Experience Oversee daily tasting room operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Lead pre‑shift meetings, communicate priorities, and uphold service standards. Act as on‑site manager in the Estate Manager’s absence, including opening and closing duties. Create a welcoming environment and ensure every guest receives a memorable experience. Team Coaching & Development Lead, mentor, and inspire tasting room staff to deliver exceptional hospitality. Train team members on wine knowledge, sales techniques, and guest engagement. Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Foster a positive, inclusive, and team‑oriented workplace culture. Sales Operations & Merchandising Drive sales performance through outstanding guest service and staff motivation. Partner with the Merchandise Team on retail display and inventory presentation. Manage cash handling, reporting, and compliance procedures. Event Support & Operations Support the execution of private tastings, wine club events, and special programs. Oversee inventory, cleanliness, and overall presentation of hospitality spaces. Qualifications Previous leadership experience in a tasting room, winery, or hospitality environment required. Strong understanding of wine and tasting room service standards. Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a high‑performing team. Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Experience with events or private experiences preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and be physically active for extended periods. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
