Staff Accountant – Downtown Houston | Professional Services

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Support month-end close and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain reliable financial records.
• Assist with fixed asset tracking and reconciliation.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Utilize Excel to analyze data and streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Minimum 1 year of general accounting experience out of a corporate environment (experience with fixed assets, reconciliations, and journal entries preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including formulas and functions.
