Staff Accountant


Lansing, MI | Full-Time | $75,000-$110,000 per year (based on experience)


About the Role:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to apply their skills in a dynamic environment with competitive compensation and opportunities for growth.


Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations
  
  
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  
  
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  
  
• Work with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance
  
  
• Monitor and maintain accurate records for assets, liabilities, income, and expenses
  
  
• Contribute to process improvements and ensure accounting best practices
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  
  
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
  
  
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  
  
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  
  
• CPA designation preferred but not required
  
  

Compensation & Benefits:
