We are seeking a talented and versatile Shopify Web Developer with deep Shopify expertise to help us elevate our digital ecosystem. In this role, you will work at the intersection of ecommerce, enterprise systems, and emerging technologies, building scalable solutions that drive customer experience and business intelligence. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and outside vendors to deliver high impact digital solutions that scale with our growth. Position Details Position Title: SHOPIFY WEB DEVELOPER Position Type: Full Time / Salary Exempt Reporting To: VP of Technology / Senior Engineer Location: Z SUPPLY HYBRID Work Type: HYBRID Partial In Office 3 Days / Partial Remote 2 Days Responsibilities This role works closely with our Senior Engineer and VP of Technology in a collaborative environment. Ongoing development of ecommerce solutions, APIs, and system integrations within the Shopify ecosystem Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain new software features and enterprise tools Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable systems Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with technical expertise and accountability Partner with outside vendors to design and implement third-party integrations across business systems Contribute to the strategic technical direction of Z SUPPLY’s digital platforms Required Qualifications 3–5 years of professional Shopify development experience required Expert proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Liquid Experience with the latest Shopify features (i.e. Metaobjects, Checkout Extensibility) Strong front-end design and user experience sensibility Ability to effectively leverage AI coding tools (Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.) Proven ability to rapidly learn and implement new technologies BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience building custom Shopify apps and API integrations Experience working with Ruby on Rails Experience architecting scalable ecommerce solutions and business intelligence systems Familiarity with AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, Docker, etc.) Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Perks At Z SUPPLY, departments work cross-functionally enabling everyone to further their knowledge and expertise in an inclusive, supportive environment that is committed to healthy work/life balance, peer mentorship, and community outreach.
