Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Middle School Counselor position is available for the current school year in Suncook, NH. This contract role offers the opportunity to support the social, emotional, and academic development of middle school students.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing individual and group counseling to address students academic, social, and behavioral needs
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive interventions
• Assisting students with goal setting, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
• Conducting assessments and maintaining confidential records
• Facilitating referrals to munity resources when necessary
• Implementing programs that promote a positive school climate and student well-being

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Current certification as a School Counselor or equivalent credential
• Experience working with middle school-aged children
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families
• Knowledge of counseling theories and best practices in an educational setting
