Job Description

At Bee Line Companies, our business is built on the belief that transportation, logistics, and warehousing are the backbone of the economy—and people are the heart of it all. We are dedicated to preparing safe, skilled, and professional drivers while supporting the movement of goods with efficiency, care, and accountability.

Whether we’re training the next generation of CDL-A drivers, coordinating freight across distribution channels, or managing day-to-day warehouse operations, we lead with safety, service, and a commitment to operational excellence. We believe in doing the job right, every time, and supporting our teams with the tools, training, and trust they need to succeed.

To continue providing the best support to our staff, we are looking for a Safety & Compliance Officer to join our Trucking and Repair division. If you have strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations, hold a CDL-A license with a clean driving record, and enjoy compliance, training, and safety management, this may be the right fit for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, CTPAT, and company standards

  • Conduct safety orientations and ongoing training for drivers and staff

  • Oversee OSHA compliance in our garage, including safe work practices, equipment use, and PPE adherence

  • Audit driver files, HOS logs, ELD data, and vehicle maintenance reports

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; manage post-accident testing and reporting

  • Conduct yard, terminal, and vehicle inspections, as well as random cab checks

  • Monitor safety events and compliance using fleet management platforms

  • Manage fleet-related administrative tasks, including fuel cards, EZ Pass accounts, filings, and vehicle registrations

  • Track and report safety, compliance, and operational metrics

  • Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and leadership to improve performance

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Transportation, or related field preferred

  • 2–3 years of experience in transportation safety, compliance, or fleet operations

  • Current CDL-A license with a clean driving record required

  • Strong knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and OSHA required.

  • Knowledge with CTPAT a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet compliance platforms

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • OSHA or safety certifications preferred

Why Join Us:

  • Work in a collaborative, growth-focused environment

  • Play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and high-performing fleet

  • Benefits packaged with employer contributions.

  • Vacation, Sick and a generous holiday policy.
