Interested in starting a dynamic career in Real Estate Management and Rentals as a salaried position? We are seeking a motivated and energetic candidate to join our boutique property management and rental team as a Junior Property Manager. This full-time position offers a huge range of tasks throughout a typical day combined with a predictable salary and growth potential and is an excellent chance to gain experience in all aspects of rentals and property management.

The ideal applicant has a strong interest in Real Estate, a passion for customer service and communication, is creative, driven, well organized, and has great attention to detail. Portions of your day will consist of office/computer work and the remainder will be in the field, at properties we are renting or managing.

Our new team member will be given a diverse array of tasks and responsibilities to help our small business run smoothly, so they must be comfortable with on the fly re-prioritizing and new challenges from multiple managers. This is a great opportunity to join our small, close-knit team while working and learning in a fun and friendly setting in one of Jamaica Plain's top Real Estate offices. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to grow their role and responsibilities as they learn more about the business.

Requirements

• Assist Property Managers in their tasks and learn from them;
• Schedule showings for our rental clients;
• Handle apartment pictures, advertisement, etc. as needed;
• Help with showings of rental units;
• Process applications and related paperwork for new applicants;
• Communicate with tenants on questions they may have about their rental units including but not limited to maintenance requests, tenant notices, etc.;
• Meet maintenance vendors on site to provide unit access;
• Perform end of lease walk-throughs/inspections of properties;
• Additional assignments as requested such as errands, property visits, key making, etc.
• Acting as the first contact of Arborview Realty, answering phone, greeting walk-ins;
• Office upkeep and support including mail, scheduling/ordering office supplies, etc.;
• Weekend and evening appointments;
• Being on call at certain pre-planned times and dates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in business or a related field
• Strong interest Rentals and Property Management
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and writing skills required
• Adaptive and sociable personality
• Highly organized and able to meet deadlines
• Eager to learn and handle a fast-paced environment
• 40 - 45 hours/week (depending on the season; schedule can change)
• Must be available for scheduled weekend and early evening appointments, usually work week is 5-6 days in busy season, 5 days in off season
• Real Estate Salesperson License is a plus but we will pay for the selected candidate to do the coursework and testing to obtain their license
• Reliable, clean transportation
• Must live within 10 miles of Jamaica Plain (Boston, 02130)
