Co‑ordinates routine work activities of employees engaged in food operations in various settings (commercial, health care, schools, universities, etc.). Supports management in daily oversight of key functions and employees during normal business operations. Manages the day‑to‑day activities of subordinates, assigns work, and ensures quality service. Maintains a safe working environment for all employees. Promotes development of the food service team. Adheres to Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures. Reports accidents and injuries timely. Participates in regular safety meetings and training. General Responsibilities Understands and follows all policies and procedures. Assists in ensuring a safe working environment. Monitors employee productivity and provides suggestions for improvement. Oversees day‑to‑day activities of subordinates. Manages orientation and training of employees. Performs day‑to‑day assignments in addition to oversight duties. Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in quality, service, and problem resolution. Attends in‑service training for allergy and foodborne illness. Complies with company safety and risk management policies. Participates in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments. Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Knowledge of proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment. Willingness to learn and grow. Appropriate maturity of judgment and behavior. Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance. Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with regularity. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Must comply with any dress code requirements. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. Experience / Knowledge High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. 2 years supervisory experience. Skills / Aptitude Ability to learn and use established techniques for efficient and compliant completion of duties. Professional presentation and strong ethics. Positive attitude. Effective communication with co‑workers, other departments, customers, and clients. Clear direction giving and receipt skills. Basic phone and computer skills (email, texting). Basic Microsoft Excel understanding (use of spreadsheets). Attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure. Good oral and written communication skills. Independent and teamwork ability. Knowledge of and proficiency in OSHA and local requirements related to all assigned work. Physical Requirements Clear vision with or without corrective lenses. Significant walking or other mobility. Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours). Can reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 lbs; occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Working Conditions Indoor setting with occasional outside activities and events. Variable schedule: evenings, holidays, weekends, extended hours. Moderate to loud noise levels. Requires protective clothing and/or personal protective equipment. Potential exposure to cleaning chemicals.
