Posted: 09/26/2025 | 2025-09-26 | 2025-10-31 Job Description We are seeking a dependable and motivated School Food Service Worker to support daily food preparation and meal service at a designated school site. This role is responsible for assisting in the quantity preparation, packaging, and serving of nutritious meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and cafeteria environment. Key Responsibilities Support kitchen staff in the preparation and serving of meals, including assembling ingredients, portioning food, wrapping items, and ensuring proper food temperature control. Maintain cleanliness of food service facilities and kitchen equipment, adhering to all sanitation and health regulations. Provide efficient and courteous meal service to students and staff in a school cafeteria setting. Operate standard kitchen equipment and food service appliances safely and effectively. Perform cashiering duties using a Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately. Clean and sanitize serving trays, utensils, and cooking tools following district guidelines. Follow established food safety policies and workplace procedures at all times. Job Requirements Knowledge of proper food handling and lifting techniques. Basic math and cashiering skills are preferred. Ability to provide prompt, high-quality food service in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn procedures for large-scale meal preparation. Capable of following both written and verbal instructions.
