What matters mostTo excel as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver at Butterfield Trail Village, candidates must possess a unique blend of skills and qualifications. Applicants must be at least 25 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and hold a valid state-issued driver's license, accompanied by a current 3-year DMV printout with no moving violations or "at fault" accidents in the past three years. Proficiency in operating a hydraulic wheelchair lift is essential for safe loading and unloading of residents.
Familiarity with smart mobile technology, GPS applications, and hands-free cell phones is vital for navigating and providing timely transportation. Successful candidates must demonstrate physical capability to step up and down, bend, and secure clients for transport, as well as lift up to 50 lbs. Adherence to HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality mandates is crucial.
Finally, effective communication and organization skills are necessary for updating logbooks and assisting residents with their transportation needs.
