Job Summary

Working as the Logistics Manager drafts and manages standard operating procedures to ensure the proper implementation or management of developed BOH operating systems including prep lists, station setup lists and diagrams to ensure operations fit Google food program standards. This position oversees the opening of new units and current BOH administrative, operational, and culinary tasks, including setup and launch of new cafe BOH operations. This includes transfer of knowledge of concept, menu, and culinary systems and sanitation and safety standards throughout the BOH team.This position also motivates, trains, develops and directs the back of house employees to achieve the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, clients, and Restaurant Associates.

This role is based in New York, NY

The great things youll do:

+ Oversee Taste procedure for both Commissary kitchen

+ Manage distribution of prepared food to each cafe

+ Ensure proper communications between the Cafe Chefs and Commissary team

+ Control food and supply inventory for Commissary kitchen

+ Create and manage transportation logs

+ Oversee ordering process for food and supplies ***

+ Act as "Gatekeeper" for Catering Comm Kitchen BOH Smallware Spend Budget

+ Analyze and discuss food and supply budget with department heads

+ Manage storage of supplies and F&B

+ Oversee cleaning procedures and create cleaning schedules

+ Oversee all campuses donation program

+ Track and log all kitchen repair and maintenance

What we look for in the perfect candidate:

+ Degree in Culinary Arts is preferred or equivalent professional experience

+ Minimum of three years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience

+ High volume purchasing, food storage, inventory control and sanitation experience

+ Self-starter and ability to multitask

+ Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles

+ Ability to lift, bend, carry up to 40 lbs., manage proper storage of food items as necessary

+ Strong supervisory, leadership, hands-on management and coaching skills

+ Good communication skills both written and verbal

+ Proficient computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet

+ Strong financial, budgetary, and food cost control practices

+ Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior

+ ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
