Job Description

Nesco Data Center and Infrastructure is seeking a LogicMonitor Admin for a Project Based Opportunity. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced LogicMonitor Administrator to support the maturity and expansion of our enterprise monitoring environment. The administrator will be responsible for optimizing alerting behavior, enhancing service integrations, developing customized dashboards for operational visibility, and onboarding new monitored resources. This is a project-based, hourly role supporting internal monitoring and observability initiatives across a distributed infrastructure footprint. Key Responsibilities Evaluate existing LogicMonitor deployment, monitoring coverage, and alert configuration posture. Design and establish alerting baselines, thresholds, and escalation policies to reduce noise and improve actionable response. Enhance and maintain PagerTree integrations , ensuring accurate routing of alerts to the appropriate on-call groups and escalation sequences. Create custom dashboards to support NOC operations, system owners, application teams, and leadership visibility. Onboard and configure new monitored devices, hosts, cloud resources, network equipment, and application endpoints into the LogicMonitor Resource Tree . Configure Website Checks / Synthetic Transactions to proactively measure service availability and performance. Develop and apply Custom DataSources , PropertySources, and SNMP/WMI/API-based monitoring profiles where required. Establish or improve device grouping, naming standards, and monitoring policies for consistency and scalability. Conduct health checks, performance audits, and tuning of polling intervals, log retention, thresholds, and data ingestion. Integrate monitoring outputs with ticketing systems , service workflows, reporting tools, and other operational platforms as needed. Document changes, dashboards, monitoring rules, and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with IT Ops, NOC, Security, and Application Support teams to align monitoring coverage with business service priorities. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience administering LogicMonitor in a medium-to-large environment. Strong understanding of: Monitoring policies, escalation chains, and threshold configuration SNMP, WMI, API-based monitoring methods Device grouping, role-based access, and collectors Custom Dashboard and Widget development Experience configuring and troubleshooting integrations such as PagerTree, ServiceNow, Jira, Slack, etc. Ability to translate system/application behavior into meaningful monitoring and KPIs. Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Experience Experience developing Custom DataSources using Groovy scripts or REST API calls. Familiarity with on-call scheduling and operational alerting frameworks. Background with network, server, cloud, application, or DevOps environments. Relevant certifications (LogicMonitor Administrator, ITIL, Network+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus. Engagement Details Project-Based / Hourly Engagement Remote-capable role, with occasional scheduled collaboration working sessions. Must be able to follow internal standards and contribute to monitoring governance maturity.
