Position: Junior Butler NYC & Hamptons (Seasonal Travel Required)

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Butler to support the daily operations of a high-end private residence in New York City, with seasonal travel to the Hamptons during the summer months. This role works under the supervision of the Senior Butler and House Manager, and will assist in all aspects of service, upkeep, and hospitality.

This is an ideal position for someone looking to grow in private service and gain hands-on experience in a well-structured and professional household.

Core Responsibilities

Support the daily management and maintenance of a 15,000 sq. ft. residence

Assist the Senior Butler with errands, shopping, and day-to-day logistics

Maintain a high standard of service in an informal yet detail-focused environment

Ensure the home is always guest-ready, with all areas clean, stocked, and organized

Understand and properly care for fine furnishings, fabrics, finishes, and household items

Manage and maintain dressing rooms, bathrooms, and toiletries/medicine inventories

Monitor and support the functionality of pools, Jacuzzis, and sauna systems, including regular cleaning and maintenance checks

Walk and care for household dogs, ensuring their well-being and adherence to their routines

Assist with floral arrangements, table setting, and light food and beverage preparation when needed

Support in household hospitality efforts including guest greeting and service

Operations & Oversight

Support the house manager in scheduling and oversight of housekeeping staff and their daily duties when needed

Maintain inventories across key areas: wardrobe, linens, toiletries, food & beverage

Assist in managing seasonal needs and preparing the home for principal arrivals

Provide occasional support at off-site events or company gatherings

Hospitality & Service

Maintain constant awareness of the principals schedule and household rhythms

Ensure all preferred foods and items are in stock when the principal is in residence

Assist with bartending, service, table clearing, and dishwashing as needed

Coordinate with the chef and offer light cooking or food prep when required

Provide discreet and attentive service, always maintaining confidentiality

Seasonal Travel

This position requires travel to the Hamptons with the family during the summer season

Assist in adapting household systems and routines to the seasonal home

Support the broader household team while away from NYC

Qualifications

Prior experience in private service or luxury hospitality preferred

Highly professional with a polished, discreet demeanor

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Flexibility with schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Valid drivers license and comfort driving in city and Hamptons environments

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation & Time Off:

Salary: $85,000

Two weeks paid vacation per year
