Summary

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented legal professional to join our growing team, preferably one who speaks English and Spanish fluently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation, but with a focus on discovery and judgment stages. Prior experience is required as this is not an entry level position, although training will be provided, and all candidates are subject to a 90-day trial period. Compensation is competitive and is commensurate with experience.

 

Primary Responsibilities

· Proactively meet trial and discovery deadlines, as well as other tasks that are assigned in our case management system

· Prioritize tasks appropriately and assist in balancing the team’s workload

· Delegate tasks to team members as necessary, and monitor their progress to prevent backlog

· Ability and willingness to communicate with clients via their preferred method (call, email, text, video conferencing)

· Identify, resolve, and if necessary, escalate any issues in a case to the supervising attorneys

· Collaborate with the team to create solutions for our clients and our staff

 

General Responsibilities

· Coordinate telephone conferences, court hearings, depositions and mediations between the firm’s attorneys, opposing counsel, the client(s), and the judge’s assistants

· Following and completing firm workflows in the case management system.

· Drafting simple motions and notices (ex. Motions for Extension, Notice of Settlement, Notice of Hearing)

· Eservice – filing and serving court documents, uploading documents served on the firm and calendaring deadlines

· Following the firm’s naming conventions when saving documents to the appropriate folder

 

Qualifications

· Preference will be given to candidates that speak English and Spanish with expert fluency

· Ability to work remotely and in the Orlando office in a hybrid capacity as necessary

· Proficient computer and writing skills
