Job Description
We’re seeking a Junior EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Specialist to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment by advising management, conducting audits, and implementing safety programs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure regulatory compliance through site visits and audits.
-Advise management on EHS performance and recommend improvements.
-Investigate incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
-Develop and manage safety training, including onboarding and toolbox talks.
-Track equipment inspections and maintain safety documentation.
-Oversee emergency response plans and maintain life-safety systems.
What We’re Looking For:
-Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
-Strong analytical and communication skills.
-Ability to conduct training and manage safety documentation.
-Effective oral & written communication and customer service skills.
-One to three years' relevant work experience.
-Previous experience in a EHS role with ISO 9001 certified organization highly desired.
-College degree in occupational health & safety or other relevant experience/education preferred.
-Completion of OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour class within the last 2-3 years highly preferred.
-Relevant active environmental or safety training records and/or certifications preferred.
