Acro Service Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Janitor/Cleaning Specialist who will perform industrial cleaning of production areas.
Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in all warehouse areas, including storage zones, loading docks, and employee-accessible warehouse facilities. Ensures a safe, clean, and organized environment that supports efficient warehouse operations.
Essential Job Functions:
Empties and sanitizes trash and recycling containers throughout the warehouse.
Sweeps, vacuums, and mops warehouse floors, including aisles, loading docks, and staging areas.
Cleans and maintains warehouse restrooms and break areas.
Dusts and wipes down surfaces such as racking, shelving, and equipment exteriors.
Cleans interior warehouse windows and glass surfaces.
Restocks restroom and breakroom supplies in warehouse areas.
Removes debris and ensures clear walkways to maintain safety compliance.
Follows proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Reports any safety hazards or facility issues to the appropriate personnel.
Assists with cleanup after warehouse spills or incidents as needed.
Education & Training:
Basic knowledge of English and arithmetic.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience:
3 months to 1 year of custodial or janitorial experience, preferably in an industrial or warehouse setting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with industrial cleaning tools and supplies.
Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness in high-traffic areas.
Tools & Equipment Used:
Broom, mop, industrial vacuum, floor scrubber, cleaning chemicals, dusters, etc.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations.
May involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
