Position Description Primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical leadership, manage, motivate, and develop the IT infrastructure team. The IT Infrastructure Manager is operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and accessibility of all enterprise IT systems. This encompasses but is not limited to, networking, telecommunications, data center management, (cloud and on premise) servers, storage, and applications. This role ensures that infrastructure and security systems are maintained, serviced, updated, and enhanced to meet efficiency and availability SLAs. The Director of IT Infrastructure has frequent interaction with senior leadership, customers, direct reports, peers, value added resellers, and independent vendors. Essential Functions Oversees and leads the IT resources for optimal performance, including providing resource management for incoming customer inquiries, problems, and administrative work. Oversee the IT operations, policies, and procedures to ensure system, data, and information accessibility across all organizational assets. Responsible for all aspects of the infrastructure, including cloud hosting and on-premise data center facilities, physical and virtual servers, switches, routers, firewalls, e-mail systems, system and data back-ups and restoration, software, communication lines, telephone systems, mobile devices, patch management, policy enforcement, VPN/remote access, vendor connectivity, wireless solutions, and asset management systems. Oversee the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure, ensuring that the systems provide the upmost efficiency and availability in support of the organizations goals and strategies. Lead the organizations risk management strategy and disaster recovery program. Scheduled regular exercises, ongoing testing, organizational reporting, and Business Continuity Partner with value added resellers to ensure the prompt and continued delivery of all the organizations Tier One systems, applications, and services. Support and contribute to all internal and external audits, guaranteeing that all documentation and materials are accurate, current, and readily available. Ensure prompt and thorough response to and remediation of all findings and recommendations. Collaborate with the CIO on the evaluation, allocation, and management of physical and financial resources, development/training, management, evaluation, and assignment of personnel. Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the infrastructure and identify areas for improvement. Suggest action plans that will increase the system availability and functionality for end-users. Oversee and lead routine infrastructure processes, including configuration management reviews, hardening efforts, and remediation efforts to ensure compliance. Hands-on technical depth enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation for complex system implementations, system upgrades and operational incident and problem troubleshooting. Ensure issues are concisely documented in Helpdesk software to facilitate resolution and future knowledge base documentation and to maintain user satisfaction. Formulate short and long-term goals, action plans, policies, procedures and operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility. Play an active role on the IT management team and work with other leaders to drive continuous improvement for the overall group. Analyze IT infrastructure activity and reports and make recommendations for increased organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Oversees teams that are responsible for day-to-day operating needs and participate in providing ongoing management of service level compliance. Participate in 24/7 on call support rotation. Assist in professional and technical development of team members enabling them to set goals, monitor, mentor, coach, and assist team members to deliver quality support. Evaluate, assess, and securely onboard Mergers and Acquisitions. Maintain a high level of employee morale within the team. Manage outside vendors to optimize performance of all Information Systems. Maintain up to date knowledge of all systems. Lead and support cloud initiatives. Ensure that appropriate training is provided to all staff members. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Understanding of security frameworks and how to implement them within an organization. Advocates for security during all implementations of current and future technologies. Advises on security policy and best practices. Other duties as required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Working knowledge of information security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, OWASP, etc.), rules and regulations related to information security and confidentiality (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, 508 etc.) and other various security standards and policies. Security technology acumen and experience including but not limited to: firewall, intrusion detection, cyber- attack tools and defenses, encryption, certificate authority, web filtering, anti-malware, anti-phishing, identity and access management, multi factor authentication. Technical acumen including but not limited to: OSI, IT infrastructure, cloud, application development languages, tools and frameworks, database technologies, web technologies, next gen mobile, network architecture, enterprise architecture, and directory services. In-Depth knowledge of the full range of network, infrastructure and telecommunications systems required. In-Depth knowledge of IT processes and procedures, including system backups, business continuity, disaster recovery, asset management, audits, and compliance. In-Depth knowledge of IT security measures and best practices required to protect and maintain corporate networks. In-Depth knowledge of IT Support Desk and Operations activities, including customer service and communications. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to represent Endries in a positive manner to all. Strong management skills with the ability to motivate, stimulate, and inspire employees to maximize their efforts in productivity and quality. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Strong project management skills, including the ability to drive process improvements. Proven ability to independently handle multiple tasks simultaneously, deal with ambiguity and to complete assignments given aggressive time constraints.
