Job Description

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm, currently seeking an Inventory Specialist/Investigation Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Alameda, CA 94502 . Details of the position are as follows:

Shift Information:

• Monday – Friday 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM (Fully Onsite, W2 Position)
• Pay range starts at $28+/hr!
• 6-Month contract to start, extension or conversion beyond that is based on performance and budget at that time.

Job Description:

• Position is primarily responsible for routine warehouse operations including inventory management, unpacking shipments, moving materials using pallet jacks and forklifts (training and certification provided), and maintaining accurate inventory records primarily using Excel and warehouse databases.
• Position will also be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment by following SOPs and safety regulations, and completing documentation and reports in Excel and Word.
• Position will be in charge of supporting warehouse logistics strictly — no complaint handling at this time — with potential for cross-training on complaint investigations only if needed in the future.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is Required! Associates' or Bachelor's Degree will be considered as well!
• Minimum 2+ years of warehouse experience is Required!
• Basic computer skills, specifically proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, is Required!
• Ability and willingness to operate pallet jacks and forklifts (forklift certification training will be provided) is Required!
• Experience using barcode scanners, inventory management systems, and basic shipping data logging is Preferred!
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality and safety standards, and ability to work independently or as part of a team are Preferred!
