Summary VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) is recruiting for a full-time Interventional Radiologist. Qualifications United States Citizenship or acceptable non‑citizen status per VA policy Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school Full and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia Completed residency in an accredited core specialty program approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; residency may be ACGME, AOA, or other approved programs with ≥5 years of U.S. practice Physician Resident Providers (PRPs) are eligible if currently enrolled in an accredited program and fully licensed; PRPs are appointed on an intermittent or fee‑basis and are not independent practitioners Proficiency in spoken and written English Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology and ABR board certification or board eligibility Physical, cognitive, and emotional fitness evaluation required; designated drug testing and random post‑appointment testing Capability to interact with patients and healthcare personnel in a caring, professional manner and tolerate physically taxing workloads under stress Duties Provide interventional radiology services in a 467‑bed VA Boston Healthcare System, including vascular and non‑vascular procedures (e.g., Y‑90, dialysis access, PAE, GI bleeds, endoleaks, microwave ablation, biliary, urinary, biopsies, drains) Operate advanced imaging equipment: 1.5T and dual 3T MRI scanners, four multidetector CT scanners, PET/CT, various ultrasound and fluoroscopic modalities, and dedicated women’s imaging suite Utilize two IR suites: one with a fixed C‑arm and cone‑beam CT, the other a brand new fully integrated CT/C‑arm room Collaborate with the radiology residency program integrated with Boston Medical Center; participate in teaching and research Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and comply with VA policies and procedures Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary with annual performance bonus and regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50‑55 days per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 federal holidays, up to 5 days CME absence) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5‑year vesting) and federal 401(k) with up to 5% VA contribution Health and vision/dental insurance, term life, long‑term care, and other federal programs—many can be carried into retirement Medical malpractice coverage: free liability protection with tail coverage No Physician Employment Contract; no significant restrictions on moonlighting Work schedule: Full‑time; schedule to be determined with supervisor Seniority Level : Entry level Employment Type : Full‑time Job Function : Health Care Provider Industries : Government Administration #J-18808-Ljbffr U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
