Job Description Job Description Position can be full or part time, based on Interns class schedule. Candidate must show proof of medical insurance or be limited to under 25 hours per week. Position Overview Assists with the corporate-wide risk management program. Helps ensure government and company compliance and assists with the development and implementation of job-specific plans. Coordinates inspections with internal and external representatives and assists with the claims process. Essential Job Functions Field/Management Support • Attends and participate in daily Operations GEMBA and involved in safety projects progress and other safety matters, as appropriate. • Helps enforce government and company regulations to ensure associate and subcontractor compliance by conducting job site inspections/audits and addressing issues. • Reviews and updates internal safety reporting/documentation to ensure all required onsite records are complete, accurate, and submitted per established procedures. • Review/Update work instructions to reflect safety risks. Assists with the development and implementation of job-specific safety plans. • Conduct/Document 5S Audits and recommend/lead events to improve layouts. Risk and Claims Management • Along with Site Safety Manager, accompanies safety, health and insurance inspectors on job site inspections. ~ Review/Update work instructions and observer processes to ensure safety risk items are properly identified and addressed in the documentation. • Assists with coordination with insurance carriers on coverage and claim issues. • Assists Site Safety Manager in the review of scopes of the work to ensure all possible areas of potential loss are addressed. • Helps conduct work area inspections and assists in personal injury and property damage investigations. • Helps manage any injury claims submitted to ensure the claim is handled effectively to obtain the most favorable results for all parties involved ~ Other tasks and duties as assigned. Essential Non-Job Functions Communicate with all levels of employees Ability to multi-task Requirements Working toward bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Safety or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications • Valid driver’s license They must be organized, have excellent communication skills, and possess an understanding of preventive maintenance techniques Other Skills/Abilities Strong computer skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Position Reports To: Site Safety Manager NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
