Responsibilities:

The Hydraulic Mechanic will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing the specific duties below:

• Maintain all steamer and purse boat systems in accordance with published maintenance schedules
• Accomplish repair work in a timely manner in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Troubleshoot all reported problems, make recommendations for repair work
• Perform inspections of the hydraulic systems at the end of the fishing season and develop repair work orders for Vessel Manager approval
• Disassemble and reassemble hydraulic pumps, rams, hoses and valves as needed.
• Complete all tasks safely
• Report all hazards, accidents, injuries, or environmental excursions immediately to your supervisor or a member of the management team
• All other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements:

• The incumbent must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the job.
• The person must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job
• Complete knowledge of hydraulic systems, hydraulic rams, valves and hose systems
• Ability to read and understand technical hydraulic pump and delivery system manuals
• Ability to work independently and safely
