Florida A&M University's School of Business and Industry (SBI) is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the non-tenure earning, twelve-month position of Faculty Administrator and Director of Office of Student Success and Analytics (OSSA) vacancy.
Responsibilities
The Faculty Administrator will report to the Dean or Dean's designee. The Faculty Administrator will be responsible for developing and updating strategic plans for the department; Supervising and evaluating personnel working in the department; Work with the Dean and Dean's designee to develop and enhance academic support programs (all majors); Plan and coordinate recruitment, admissions, academic advising, course registration, and the transition of transfer students into and out of SBI; Ensuring that procedures are in place to assist students in the development of individual educational plans; Work to reduce attrition and improve student academic performance; Resolve students' issues and problems related to registration, advising, transfer, and graduation; and, verifying and insuring accuracy of graduation audits and degree certifications.
Serving on FAMU's and SBl's committees dealing with retention, progression, and academic issues: Making recommendations and implementing FAMU and SBI policies, procedures, and guidelines; Serve as liaison to FAMU 's Office of Student Affairs and to SBI's admission and recruitment office; Help plan New Student Orientation and other informational sessions for students; Implement new technology in the Office of Student Success and Analytics to facilitate a paperless environment (Image Now, Symplicity); Develop and maintain the SBI student handbook; Maintain the SBI Student Success and Analytics web page; Provide instruction of policies and retention methods to the SBI student body via classroom visits, webinars, podcasts, and forums; Provide policy feedback to various SBI communities and department chairs as it relates to curriculum development and academic processes; Provide Consultation and support to the Online MBA program; Manipulate complex data sets to meet school-specific requests; Create SBI student success outcome data visualization dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Tableau; Utilizing dashboards and storytelling skills to effectively communicate insights and influence decisions to relevant stakeholders regarding SBI's student success outcomes; Develop predictive models to increase progression and graduation rates and relevant metrics; Utilize Analytics to explain students' progress and identify the best path for success; Responsible for Business Analytics support in SBI; and design innovative reports and analysis.
In carrying out these duties and responsibilities, the Faculty Administrator in charge of the OSSA will work closely with the Dean, Dean's designee, and other administrative offices of the SBI, the SBI faculty, and appropriate members of FAMU administration. The Faculty Administrator and Director may be called upon occasionally to represent the School on issues relating to students' welfare and to assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Dean.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree with three years of experience in a related academic and support services field.

Ability to handle multiple task and prioritize work assignments;
Ability to operate personal computer and software programs (especially Microsoft Excel and Alteryx);

Proficient in using Alteryx for Predictive Analytics;
Ability to manipulate datasets using SQL;
Certification in Business Analytics; and,
Ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with the needs, problems, and concerns of students.
Pay Plan
This is a Faculty position.
