Century Engineering is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Engineer to work on challenging and exciting water & wastewater projects (both public and private) in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Position requires a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Primarily reporting to the Dover, Delaware office with possibility of being located in the Newark, Delaware office, successful candidates will perform engineering tasks in the water/wastewater field under the supervision of a Professional Engineer through application of relevant design criteria, standards, and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design of system elements and coordination with several disciplines on major to moderate water/wastewater projects or a combination of smaller projects
• Perform all design efforts in accordance with current regulations
• Work with clients, staff engineers, designers and subconsultants on multiple concurrent projects from planning through final design, construction, and commissioning
• Recognize and communicate project needs to supervisor
• Assist in direction of project planning, budgeting, and establishing critical project objectives
• Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required
• Course emphasis on water/wastewater preferred.
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation skills desirable
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
• Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices
