Email & Lifecycle Marketing Specialist Location : Chicago, IL (Hybrid) or Remote (U.S.-based candidates only) Compensation : $85,000 – $100,000 base salary + performance bonus Work Authorization : U.S. work authorization required A fast-growing digital marketplace in the live event space is hiring an Email & Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to take full ownership of a high-visibility, high-impact channel. This is a unique opportunity to design lifecycle marketing the right way: not retrofitting a broken system, but creating smart, scalable customer journeys from day one. What you'll do Own the end-to-end lifecycle email strategy, including planning, segmentation, copywriting, build, launch, and optimization Design and execute personalized, behavior-driven campaigns that drive conversion, repeat purchases, and retention Build abandoned cart sequences and post-purchase journeys that increase clarity and build customer trust Manage all transactional flows, including order confirmations, delivery updates, and event reminders Use Braze (or similar ESP) to segment audiences, automate journeys, and A/B test messaging variations Leverage SQL to analyze user behavior, define campaign logic, and track performance Partner with growth, product, and customer service teams to ensure consistent, helpful, and brand-aligned messaging Own email analytics and reporting, surfacing insights that guide future campaigns Identify opportunities to surprise, delight, or educate users at every stage of the customer lifecycle Must-have experience 3–5 years in CRM, lifecycle, or email marketing, ideally in eCommerce, ticketing, or two-sided marketplace environments Hands-on experience with Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo, or a similar ESP, including campaign automation and personalization Working knowledge of SQL to support campaign targeting and analysis Ability to write clear, effective customer-facing copy with brand voice in mind Experience working with transactional emails and understanding of API-integrated message triggers Familiarity with basic HTML for template edits and formatting fixes Strong testing mindset with comfort interpreting engagement metrics and presenting data-backed recommendations You might thrive here if You’re energized by autonomy and excited to own a channel end-to-end You’re a curious, self-driven marketer who likes to test, iterate, and ship quickly You love blending data and storytelling to improve customer experience You care deeply about operational details and delivering clean, high-quality work You enjoy being part of a small, cross-functional team that moves fast and values clear thinking Benefits include Health, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with match Generous PTO and paid holidays Ticket credits for live events Collaborative, no-ego team culture with room to test, build, and grow What to expect from the process Start by submitting your application along with a few short screening questions to help us get to know you If there’s strong alignment, we’ll set up a friendly call with our recruiter to learn more about your experience and share details about the role You’ll complete a brief CCAT assessment to help us understand how you think and problem-solve—it’s quick and doesn’t require any prep You'll meet with a few team members for a collaborative conversation about your work and how we approach lifecycle marketing We’ll ask you to complete a short take-home assignment focused on the kind of work you'd be doing here—nothing too time-consuming In the final step, you’ll connect with senior leadership to discuss broader fit and vision This employer is an equal opportunity workplace and values diversity.
