The Director of Sales plays a critical role in driving organizational growth and advancing Supreme Machined Products’ diversification strategy. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities beyond the automotive market—targeting industries such as medical, aerospace, and government—while strengthening long-term customer relationships. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled, strategic leader who communicates effectively, acts with urgency, and delivers measurable growth through trusted partnerships and a forward-looking approach.

Sales Growth & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with organizational goals and business diversification initiatives.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new customer relationships aligned with our manufacturing capabilities.
  • Expand business with existing accounts through relationship development and collaboration with engineering and operations.
  • Lead the quoting and proposal process, ensuring accurate cost structure and timely response.
  • Build a multi-year sales pipeline that supports sustainable growth.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers to build, maintain, and grow trusted partnerships.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency — respond promptly to customer requests, quotes, and inquiries.
  • Address customer challenges with professionalism and work collaboratively toward solutions.
  • Conduct on-site visits, plant tours, and technical meetings to deepen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Actively manage a CRM to track opportunities, follow-ups, and customer communication.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and operations to ensure quoting accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Provide market insight and competitive intelligence to inform pricing and strategic direction.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of technical or industrial sales experience in precision machining, engineered components, or manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of developing new business and securing long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong technical aptitude — comfortable discussing engineered processes, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing methods.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Willingness to travel XX -XX% to customer sites and industry events.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal oversight
