Director of Finance & Accounting

Job Summary/Company :

Sparks Group has partnered with a financial advisory firm in search of a Director of Finance & Accounting. The Director of Finance & Accounting role will be primarily accounting-driven, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the consolidation of financial statements across multiple subsidiaries. You will also oversee financial planning at a high level, ensuring sound financial health and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of relative experience to include 5 years of management, hold an active CPA, have experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions and strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS. Responsibilities :

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for multiple subsidiaries.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, manage internal controls, risk management, and collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Supervise AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and intercompany accounting, including eliminations and currency translations.
• Develop and implement financial policies, optimize accounting systems, and manage tax filings, planning, and compliance.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, debt financing, foreign exchange exposure, and cash repatriation across subsidiaries.
• Provide oversight on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications/Background Profile :

• 10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA required
• Experience with Sage software is a plus
• Strong experience with consolidated reporting and international accounting standards.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
