Dance Instructor

Position Summary:
Axel Dance Academy is a dance studio housed inside of the YMCA. We are looking for instructors to join our 2025-2026 dance season. Our goal is to create a loving environment for our dancers. We offer both competitive and recreational dance.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates proper technique and routines for class participation.
• Strong instructing skills that can help implement a strong program.
• Experienced and knowledge for dance including the ability to choreograph
• Strong classroom management
• Identify and address participant safety concerns

Qualifications:

• Multi-genre preferred (ballet, jazz, tap, acro, contemporary, pointe) etc.
• Must enjoy working with children ages 2 and older, beginner through advanced levels.
• Available to work Monday to Saturday

Physical Demands:

• Required to physically perform and communicate exercise routines
• Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements
