Job Description
Village Dance Arts, located in Claremont, California, is currently looking for an Artistic Director to oversee its operations, motivate its instructors and dancers, and help the studio continue to flourish. We teach all areas of dance, including classical ballet, jazz, and tap.
Responsibilities
· Manage daily studio operations, including scheduling and enrollment
· Recruit, train, and manage dance instructors
· Oversee artistic direction and production of performances and events
· Organize examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance
· Oversee faculty and staff
· Manage studio resources and oversee expenses
Qualifications
Candidates will have experience in a leadership position within a dance program, and familiarity with various dance styles. Experience in choreography and performance direction is beneficial as is knowledge of the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus.
Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills are essential. A minimum of 5 years of experience in arts program management, especially in dance education, is highly desirable.

Benefits
A competitive salary in the $70,000-$75,000 and benefits based on experience are offered.
