Job Description

The New Product Project Manager is a critical role within our organization, responsible for the go to market success across all new items. This role requires an understanding of consumer product goods, consumer product development and project management. The New Product Project Manager works closely with cross-functional internal teams to ensure products are developed and produced on time driving customer satisfaction. The New Product Project Manager reports to the General Manager of SJ Creations, a division of L&R Distributors inc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring smooth transitions across the end to end process for new items between sales, product development, production and final delivery to the customer.
• Responsible for the overall timeline and execution from ideation through to delivery of all new products across the company portfolio.
• Operates as a liaison between the sales team and product development to capture all new item or program request requirements, ensuring all necessary information is captured prior to the start of the product development process.
• Supports the sales team in customer meetings as required to ensure direction and feedback is clearly provided to internal cross-functional teams.
• Responsible for identifying risks throughout the process for each item or program, leading communication as required and driving problem solving with cross-functional teams.
• Drives continuous improvement opportunities where identified.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree; 5+ years of experience in consumer product development.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with building new and existing internal relationships.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with a problem-solving mindset.
• Comfort in managing multiple projects, working with various cross functional groups.
• Strong sense of ownership, proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
• Curiosity and vigor to learn, grow and challenge the status quo.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills in particular with Excel and PowerPoint.

Work Schedule:

Hybrid Schedule - Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM, subject to change with variation based on business demands. Monday working Remotely & in-office in Encinitas, CA Tuesday through Friday.

Pay range: $110,000 to $125,000
