Corporate Associate Attorney – Startup & Venture Capital
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid) - Bay Area offices (Mountain View or San Francisco), Seattle, Santa Monica, or Boston.

Compensation: $260,000 – $390,000 base + bonus + full benefits

About the Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm to identify a seasoned Corporate Associate Attorney to join its Startup & Venture Capital practice . This is a highly selective opportunity for attorneys who thrive at the intersection of innovation, finance, and growth-stage strategy—and who want direct exposure to founders, venture investors, and high-impact transactions.
The practice advises emerging companies from formation through liquidity events, working closely with leading venture capital firms, strategic investors, and management teams. Attorneys in this group are deeply embedded in their client's growth stories, often serving as long-term advisors rather than transactional specialists.
This role is well-suited for attorneys with strong academic pedigrees, law firm training, and demonstrated stability , who are ready to take on meaningful responsibility in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding environment.
What You'll Do
  • Advise startups and emerging growth companies throughout their lifecycle, from formation and early financing through scale, exit, or acquisition
  • Represent venture capital firms and institutional investors in equity financings and related transactions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of corporate and transactional documents, including:
    • Venture financing documents
    • Stockholder and investor agreements
    • Governance and equity incentive arrangements
    • Commercial and strategic agreements relevant to high-growth companies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to founders and executive teams, providing practical, business-oriented legal guidance
  • Collaborate closely with partners and cross-practice teams on complex transactions
  • Stay current on market trends affecting startups, venture capital, and emerging technologies
Required Qualifications (Strictly Enforced)
  • Law school graduation years: 2020–2023 only
  • 3+ years of corporate law experience with a clear focus on startups, venture capital, or emerging growth companies
  • Training at a top-tier law firm (Am Law 100/200 strongly preferred)
  • Stellar academic credentials from an accredited law school
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and transactional experience
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Admission to the applicable state bar, or eligibility to sit for or waive into the bar
Preferred Qualifications (Highly Valued)
  • Experience advising technology and/or life sciences companies
  • Meaningful exposure to venture-backed company representations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions concurrently with minimal supervision
  • Stable career progression with strong references
  • In-house experience is welcome only if paired with prior law firm training
