Overview

Assistant Property Manager (Project Management) role will support our beautiful 200-unit apartment community, Newport Harbour Apartments in Newport News, VA . This is a fast-paced, engaging role where you will perform a variety of tasks to support a Property Manager with daily operations, leasing and resident engagement.

Pay: $28 per hour

Schedule: Full Time

Working knowledge of affordable housing compliance programs such as the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) or HUD is a must.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support daily operations to assist the Property Manager.
• Coordinate and facilitate engaging programs desired by the community and residents.
• Connect residents to services to establish a high-quality life for all residents.
• Advocate, organize, problem-solve, and obtain results for the residents and the community.
• Provide strong customer service and maintain a positive attitude; willingness to learn.
• Work in a fast-paced setting, organize work, and stay on task.
• Assist with leasing functions and administrative tasks within residential property management.
• Ability to prepare tenant income recertification paperwork and familiarity with the tenant income recertification process.
• Experience with OneSite New Experience.
• Occupancy Specialist responsibilities as applicable.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of affordable housing compliance programs such as LIHTC or HUD.
• Experience with administrative and leasing functions within residential property management.
• Familiarity with tenant income recertification processes and ability to prepare recertification paperwork.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, organize work, and stay on task.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude; willingness to learn.
