Description Assistant Dairy Farm Manager - Calf and Heifer Management Kutztown, PA
- Support the daily care and management of calves & heifers, including feeding, watering, bedding, and monitoring their health
- Oversee health protocols such as vaccination schedules, dehorning, parasite control, etc.
- Monitor & record growth rates and health statuses to ensure timely intervention when needed
- Manage weaning processes and smooth transitions for calves into heifer groups
- Collaborate with veterinarians and nutritionists to optimize calf/heifer health & growth
- Execute daily farm operations and maintenance of facilities & equipment
- Assist with staff supervision, training, and scheduling to keep high standards of animal welfare
- Lead monthly farm-team meetings and update the farm team's performance scorecard

Since 1915, Corner View Farm has run a 150-cow family dairy farm that serves as the research, training, and new equipment test farm for our sister company, AMS Galaxy USA. We are looking to hire an Assistant Dairy Farm Manager to focus on our calves and heifers. Our Ideal Assistant Dairy Farm Manager: - Experienced: 2+ years of farming experience is required. A Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science is a plus-a unique opportunity for entry-level candidates to earn a 2-year certificate degree with an apprenticeship program.
